This review is long overdue. Yet all thanks to watching an episode of Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, and her declaration of love for cupcakes, I am reminded of the best-tasting cupcakes I ever had in Manila.. move over Sonja's.. I found love in Apples & Almonds!

Cupcakes are an indulgent treat and what better way to cap off the workweek but by indulging in sweets! I have a sweet tooth.. but my preference actually goes more to pastries than chocolates :)

My sense of smell is really active in everything... so I first noticed the aroma of the cupcakes,.. oh gosh it is inviting.

I can be such a critic in pastries. When trying one for the first time, I do not just go ahead and bite. I enjoy each part of it.

The dough is really moist and flavorful, seriously, you can eat it without the frosting.

But the frosting completely surprised me! I was expecting it to taste like a regular whipped cream or icing with candy colored drizzles. Most bakers do take frosting lightly. But Apples and Almonds frosting creates not just physical artistry, it also added a tasteful twist to the cupcake.

I do not know what special product does Faith put in her cupcakes. The combination of the dough and frosting makes a premier cupcake!

While everyone is all eyes on the iPhone 5, I am drooling over the new fifth-generation iPod Touch! It has everything I want and loved about the iPhone.

• 4-inch Retina display found on the iPhone 5.  - i think they are smart to keep the width enough to be gripped by just one hand..
• Front and back Camera - 5-megapixel “iSight” shooter.
• Full-HD video.
• A5 chip which promises it to be a good mobile gaming platform
• “Loop” wristband that will prevent the device from falling if ever it slips out of your hands. - too great for the clumsy person that I am
• iOS 6, Siri and all the Apps I am familiar with and used to enjoy in the iPhone.
• And its no longer the sleek and boring black or white iPhone clone. it comes in different colors — blue, yellow, pink, red or silver

Oh I had a lovely morning.. Its not everyday that you get to meet a Royal.. I'm not even sure I could reach their country.. or whether people in their country often see them down the streets.

I went to visit Gardens by the Bay for the Public Meetup with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton (im kinikilig as i typed that, by the way)

My usual go-to outfit would be dresses and skirts..

I tend to be scared of prints. So other than my usual florals and polka dots, I will be going the extra mile to try bold and edgier prints like animal, tribal and Aztec..

I bought this printed leggings few months back in Greenhills.. while buying for the usual solid black, my impulsive side got hold of me since it was cheap anyway for a Php 100.. Since then, I only wore it once in a quick trip to the grocery and hadn't worn it again..

There are those days when I want to be on the sidelines while there are days when I feel bold and want to make a statement and experiment.. These are one of those days when I felt the latter.

Printed leggings, chunky accessories, crisp vest and a little mens wear inspired..

I am going gaga on gadget research and reviews this month.. Must be work that entails the need to be mobile.. or my workmates that are updated on the latest gadgets.. waaaaah!

My Iphone 3G gave up on me and I already promised my Ate she will be the heiress of my Iphone upon repair..

I am on a hunt for my next gadget. Smart phone or tablet? I don't know but I prefer 'It' to have the following features:

• Read e-books
• Take photos
• Access Facebook and Email on the go
• Listen to music while commuting
• Has good internal memory
• Budget-friendly
• Preferably lightweight though I really don't mind the size because I always carry a huge bag and earphones.

Our first life coach has always been our mothers. Everything we know, we take a cue from our mom. From ABCs, to reading books, memorizing poetry, proper table manners, and for some, beauty and fashion.

Thanks to adventurous foodie friends and willingness to drive around, we braved the streets of QC and found a gem called Stacy's.

Our visit was intentional since my friend Donna suggested it as read from a travel magazine, and I've been reading some good reviews among netizens. We were not expecting too much. We were simply looking for a place to have a happy brunch!


AMBIANCE

The sign"This is our happy place" welcomed us at the doors. Indeed it was immediately felt.

Stacy's felt home-y the moment we stepped in. We arrived 12nn so it was full of lunch time diners. There is an option to dine alfresco, yet we wanted to be seated inside and although we had to wait, the interior was cheery enough to entertain us as we sat in the kiddie area. Stacy's instantly reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, tea parties and pin-ups. White tables and chairs, fresh daisies on the table, checkered and floral table cloths, chandeliers, bright pompoms and pastel colors everywhere, everything feels "oh-so-feminine"! The interior is really adorable. The blend of crafty knick-knacks created warmth plus a cozy with a hint of vintage atmosphere.

The drink options were written at the blackboard at the counter.

I initially opted for the Big Breakfast Bangers (sausages, french toast and scrambled eggs) but the attendant said it will take 15mins to prepare. I asked for their bestseller instead, she recommended Potato Chip Fried Chicken (an interesting twist to usual fried chicken!) Both my gal pals opted for the Texas Barbecue Ribs (really savory and tender, by the way)
