The nights are getting colder and often times, the weather could be very unpredictable and it rains during afternoons.

Scarves are a great way to add layer and color to an outfit. But despite a number of scarves I own, I really suck at working it and pulling it off.. 1st hour its tied around my neck, 2nd hour its knotted in front of my chest, 3rd hour its simply hanging in my neck, 4th hour its already a blanket =D

I am not comfortable whenever I am wearing a scarf right you see.. But then the office AC could be really chilly, and there are lots of exciting movies to watch, and the cold weather outdoors is the perfect excuse to do a "Scarf Week!".

So glad to stumble upon this photo in Pinterest that shows how to tie a scarf, not just 10 but 40 ways! and I saw some more photos that shows how to use a scarf as headbands, besides using scaves as neck accessory.

I tried the peplum trend for the first time! Yes its in black! Indeed, a great addition to my LBDs!

We had buffet at Swissotel Clarke Quay to celebrate the birthday of my 2 cousins.

The dress is from Cotton On. They also have this in teal and lilac but I loved how I felt when I tried on black. Since its a weekend and I knew I'd be walking the stretch of Orchard, I opted to wear flat sandals.

When I saw this skirt from SPEED Fashion, I immediately fell in love! The material used was jersey + Stabilo pink and purple + pencil cut.  It was on the sporty trend but good enough to be worn for office wear.

I matched it with a lace black top to tone it down.

My usual go-to outfit would be dresses and skirts..

I tend to be scared of prints. So other than my usual florals and polka dots, I will be going the extra mile to try bold and edgier prints like animal, tribal and Aztec..

I bought this printed leggings few months back in Greenhills.. while buying for the usual solid black, my impulsive side got hold of me since it was cheap anyway for a Php 100.. Since then, I only wore it once in a quick trip to the grocery and hadn't worn it again..

There are those days when I want to be on the sidelines while there are days when I feel bold and want to make a statement and experiment.. These are one of those days when I felt the latter.

Printed leggings, chunky accessories, crisp vest and a little mens wear inspired..

Some 2 years ago, I remember doing nail art and I even do it for my girl friend for some girl bonding during house parties. Nail prints weren't a craze back then. People will stick with the neutrals and french tips. Floral, striped, animal print, ombre that I used to do were considered crazy, unprofessional and not everyday nails.

Some years ago, I had bought a coastal scents 88 palette. While everyone is following the no-makeup look and sticking with the slightly stained cheeks and lips, I was doing smoky and artistic eyes that used to be reserved only for parties and night out on the town.

Some years ago, I was playing dress up at home. Taking too long in the mirror every Sunday nights to prepare my clothes for the week. I wasn't about blogging then. I simply want to dress up. Those were the days when plus-sized ladies were not admired, but looked down upon for being too courageous to wear clothes.

Seeing dedicated blogs nowadays similar to my above interests? I realized i haven't been stepping out of my shell. I realized I'm not looking out of the box enough. I just realized that I am passionate about a lot of things, if only I had kept some of them and had not sidetracked, I would've been more. I won't be hypocrite. Most of us have a lot of "If only's" at the back of our minds.

One of my my best friends made it to the contributing writers of my favorite fashion magazine. Of course I was happy for her! And yes, a bit jealous. While I've spent my entire college days buying the magazine, joining contests, interning and working for its sister company coz they didn't have job openings then, it only took her one week, one common friend, one email, and she got in.

I stop and console myself in thinking "maybe some people are just luckier." But that couldn't be fair to blame it all on luck! Maybe I'm not dreaming big enough and not making big enough and right steps to make it big.

Although I always stumble, the truth is, we make our own destiny and its never too late to start fulfilling whatever our desires and passion.

New Mantra: DREAM BIG and OWN IT!

I randomly checked the traffic sources of my blog hits.. and noticed most referrals are coming from a Brazilian site Maggnificas.. I was surprised to see myself in one of their entries.. the page is in portuguese, but the feature is about plus-size girls all over the world who's into the mullet skirt trend.. :)

I've been too lazy to publish outfit posts recently coz I usually don't don't get to sign-up other people to take my photos. Hindi naman ako full-time blogger with a tripod and nice camera. I just love fashion and photos.

This is my first take at color blocking. I am scared of wearing brights and too much color, coz of my morena complexion. But my GSS buys were mostly brights and pastels to add more splashes of color in my wardrobe and dare myself to wear more color than the usual dark shades. Singapore's weather has been really humid as well so I opted for a sheer top. I knew we'd be going through each mall in Orchard so once again I stepped on some flats.I don't know but it seemed like the overall look became a bit retro coz of the length and flair of the skirt.





More daring colors and pieces to try in the next few days!

2 years back, my brother and I used to play dress up during lazy weekends... then when dear Vishnu  bought his SLR, we started doing photo/test shoots.. I posted some photos on my Facebook account but never really started blogging because I know the commitment fashion blogging entails..


So I am back in SG with my brothers.. and walah! a new set of photoshoot.. I am still contemplating.. but I just my start taking on the fashion blogging world.. plus-size edition :)

Bro1 also did his own photo shoot then we did something together.. I actually convinced him to do this shoot just like the old times.. I showed him styles from Lookbook and he easily agreed to join me on this "crazy weekend experiment".
