This is one of those backtracking posts I'll be doing in the next few days.. These shots were taken along the streets of Bugis, while we were in search for Halloween costumes.. Bugis to City Hall area is among my favorite walking trails because the sights are a mix of Indian, Malay and Chinese influences. The structures of the buildings are a mix of old and new, traditional and modern.
I had little time to dress up that day so I just pulled whatever easy piece I can get. I figured I'd also be walking around and fit different clothes so I opted for something minimal. Wearing red pants as compared to the usual denim gives an added oomph to everyday wear. Don't you agree?
| this building is among my favorites, it reminds me of Gotham |

I recently wore this combination for a singing contest audition. I am slightly Navy-inspired that day.
I really love this Asymmetrical Blue top with cut-out shoulder. I love pieces like this with unexpected cuts. It is very lightweight too, one that you can wear during summer, or can be layered on during Fall.
I paired it with Cotton On Striped bandage skirt, Wedge white Sandals from U.R.S, and Tribal Gold/Yellow necklace from Bugis (Singapore)

I tried the peplum trend for the first time! Yes its in black! Indeed, a great addition to my LBDs!
We had buffet at Swissotel Clarke Quay to celebrate the birthday of my 2 cousins.
The dress is from Cotton On. They also have this in teal and lilac but I loved how I felt when I tried on black. Since its a weekend and I knew I'd be walking the stretch of Orchard, I opted to wear flat sandals.

Next photo was taken at Orchard Road just before I come in for shopping at H&M!

When I saw this skirt from SPEED Fashion, I immediately fell in love! The material used was jersey + Stabilo pink and purple + pencil cut. It was on the sporty trend but good enough to be worn for office wear.
I matched it with a lace black top to tone it down.

My usual go-to outfit would be dresses and skirts..
I tend to be scared of prints. So other than my usual florals and polka dots, I will be going the extra mile to try bold and edgier prints like animal, tribal and Aztec..
I bought this printed leggings few months back in Greenhills.. while buying for the usual solid black, my impulsive side got hold of me since it was cheap anyway for a Php 100.. Since then, I only wore it once in a quick trip to the grocery and hadn't worn it again..
There are those days when I want to be on the sidelines while there are days when I feel bold and want to make a statement and experiment.. These are one of those days when I felt the latter.
Printed leggings, chunky accessories, crisp vest and a little mens wear inspired..

I've been too lazy to publish outfit posts recently coz I usually don't don't get to sign-up other people to take my photos. Hindi naman ako full-time blogger with a tripod and nice camera. I just love fashion and photos.
This is my first take at color blocking. I am scared of wearing brights and too much color, coz of my morena complexion. But my GSS buys were mostly brights and pastels to add more splashes of color in my wardrobe and dare myself to wear more color than the usual dark shades. Singapore's weather has been really humid as well so I opted for a sheer top. I knew we'd be going through each mall in Orchard so once again I stepped on some flats.I don't know but it seemed like the overall look became a bit retro coz of the length and flair of the skirt.
More daring colors and pieces to try in the next few days!

Top: Cotton On Mullet Sheer Top, Skirt: Thrifted
Trivia: That skirt used to be a dress but I cut the top half because the top is too tight for my bust. That top is one of my faves because, though its not seen there, its also a mullet (longback) and the shoulders is kinda knitted.
Thank God for Cotton On! It's one of my favorite clothing stores! because they sell basic yet trendy clothes and they have a range of sizes! I usually find it hard to buy sheer clothes in Manila. I am a bargain hunter when it comes to clothes so I usually buy stuff from tiangges. Plus size shopping in tiangges would be such a challenge. Sheer tops in Manila tiangges happens to fit only small-medium frames.
The above are also among my faves. The elephant necklace was bought in Chatuchak Market Thailand. It's my fave coz it always reminds me of Thailand.
Sandals were from D&C, a local Singapore stall which I bought coz I fell in love with the flower design.

2 years back, my brother and I used to play dress up during lazy weekends... then when dear Vishnu bought his SLR, we started doing photo/test shoots.. I posted some photos on my Facebook account but never really started blogging because I know the commitment fashion blogging entails..
So I am back in SG with my brothers.. and walah! a new set of photoshoot.. I am still contemplating.. but I just my start taking on the fashion blogging world.. plus-size edition :)
1st Inspiration: Animal Prints!
I remember someone every time i don a clothing item with animal print on it.. my past office mates would know :)
What I Wore:
Black Vest and Black Tube (Cotton On)
Leopard-print Mullet Skirt (Thrifted)
Bronze Hoops Necklace (Bro 1s Gift, handmade by a friend)
SnakeSkin/Brown Velvet Heels (Charles and Keith)
Speedy 35 Bag (Bro 2s Gift, Louis Vuitton)
Bro1 also did his own photo shoot then we did something together.. I actually convinced him to do this shoot just like the old times.. I showed him styles from Lookbook and he easily agreed to join me on this "crazy weekend experiment".
So have you figured out who's influencing me and gladly feeding my kaartehan? Haha :) Bro1 in the photo and Bro2 behind the camera :) oh and Vishnu who allowed us to borrow his camera :)
